  • Regulatory Updates

One of the Sign Association's strategic objectives is to ensure that the sign industry is a valued partner in developing sign regulations, standards, bylaws and legislation.

Education has been the cornerstone to our government relations strategy. To help increase awareness of our industry and to ensure that planners and other decision-makers have the information at their disposal to make more informed decisions, the Sign Association of Canada has been producing relevant knowledge product resources.

As a member, you get complimentary access to a library of Sign Association of Canada-developed knowledge products on topics such as:

  • Overview of the Canadian Sign Industry
  • Electronic Message Centres
  • Guidelines for the Development of a Sign By-Law
  • Sign Type Illustrations
  • Top Questions Regarding LEDs and Electrical Work Every  Sign Company Should Know Answers To

Further, as a member, you get exclusive updates regarding our latest meetings with municipalities or other regulators across the province.  These can be accessed only if you are logged on as a a member.  Some of the latest updates that appear below and we encourage our members to review relate to: City of Toronto's Hoisting Permits and Temporary Street Occupancy Permits as well as City of Toronto's Enforcement of Inspection requirements.
